Wash the knife with hot soapy water to remove debris and rinse the whetstone to remove any residue.
Step 1
Immerse whetstone in water and soak for 5-10 min (until bubbles no longer appear.
Step 2
Put it on a steady surface such as a table or a desk.Silicone base for holding the stone inside non slip bamboo base, ensure the stone is fixed in one place while sharpening. Bamboo base contains anti-slip bottom can make you stable sharpening knife.
Step 3
Using the #1000-grit side to smoothen and prepare the blade, slide the blade edge along the stone at a 20 degree angle applying light pressure.Alternate the blade sides each stroke or every 3 strokes. Ensure the top surface remains wet by sprinkle more water on the top of the stone.
Step 4
Once you see dull layer got peeled switch to #6000-grit for finish honing. Wash the knife with hot soapy water to remove debris and rinse the whetstone to remove any residue. Allow Whetstone to dry 48 hours before storing.
